Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony

There’s nothing quite like Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony. The orchestra thunders, there’s a sudden silence, and then – with one mighty chord – the organ practically blows the roof off. Well, they call it the Organ Symphony for a reason, and it’ll be a showstopping return for a real RSNO legend, Neeme Järvi. True to form, he’s got a couple more surprises up his sleeve – Scottish mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison, winner of one of the world's most prestigious vocal competitions, joins us to sing excerpts of Bizet’s opera Carmen.
